Lagos Street Food Celebration: Highlighting the Finest African Cuisine is Announced by 3X4 Gourmet

The Street Food Celebration event, organized by 3 BY 4 Gourmet, aims to showcase Nigerian cuisine as the upcoming culinary trend. The food division of 3X4 Foods, a well-known food company that specializes in real African cuisine, culture, and experiences, has revealed that it would hold an exclusive event to honor Nigeria’s history, culture, and populace via street cuisine.

October 1, 2023, is when the “Street Food Celebration” will take place in Lagos Island’s Tafawa Balewa Square. Through an evening of festivities, cultural entertainment, and delectable gourmet street cuisine, the event will provide attendees with a singular opportunity to commemorate the country. The occasion will showcase the development and internationalization of Nigerian cuisine while highlighting the latest wave of African culinary ideas that are sweeping the globe.

The creator of 3X4 Foods and event planner Banke Makinde talked about how her passion for Nigerian food and culture inspired her to lead an initiative to advance the country’s globalization. Says she

By cuisine, I hope to spread awareness of our vibrant African culture. Lagos is a cultural melting pot, and this diversity is reflected in our street food. I want the world to taste Nigerian cuisine for itself, which is why I’m leading the charge to push for its globalization. Building bridges between other communities and sharing our culture and traditions with others is a healthy goal of the Street Food Celebration.

Over 500 participants in the food ecosystem are anticipated at the invite-only event, including chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and critics, FMCG businesses, influencers, and regulators. The general public is also invited to join for a night of networking, cultural exploration, and street food sampling from Nigeria.

The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, Bank of sector, BUA Foods, Flour Mills Nigeria, and other prominent organizations in the sector and beyond are among those who sponsor the event.

In addition to showcasing Nigeria’s and Africa’s rich cultural legacy, the event will include a variety of cultural entertainment and art forms as part of its ongoing efforts to support local appreciation of and globalization of Nigerian culture. There will be a lively dance company performance as well as a display of carefully chosen works of art by gifted local artists.

By bringing together important stakeholders and industry participants, 3X4 Foods will demonstrate its dedication to showcasing the complexity and diversity of African food at this forthcoming event.
